Joanne is a fundraising consultant with a passion for community and innovation. She has been working in the non-profit sector for over 16 years in both local and national organisations. Joanne specialises in funding, storytelling, and idea generation using Design Thinking principles.
Joanne trains in the area of funding your business and social enterprise. Her experience means you learn a lot from her mistakes, and she encourages business owners to think outside the box when it comes to funding.
Joanne currently runs Trust Grant Writing, a fundraising consultancy focused on bringing equity to the funding landscape in Ireland through her support of small-medium non-profits, arts organisations and social enterprises. She is keen to build the capacity of organisations to identify funding opportunities, clarify their mission and increase their grant funding success rates.
Selected as a Good Governance Awards assessor since 2023, Joanne demonstrates a deep understanding of governance best practices and champions transparency across all sectors.
Joanne has a BA in Communication Studies from the University of Wolverhampton and has recently completed the Graduate Certificate in Creativity, Innovation & Entrepreneurship at UCD. Dedicated to continuous development, she also holds a Diploma in Financial Management (for non-finance managers) and a Certificate in Management & Leadership in Community Organisations.
