The ‘Women Active in Society’ Training Programme aims to increase awareness and fuller participation of women in society in three key areas: Farming, Local Producing and Business.
This programme is brought to you by NEWKD and part funded by the EU under the Rural Development Programme 2014 – 2020.
Women in Farming – Women’s Networks and Participation in Local and Regional Decision Making
Women in Local Producing – Developing and Delivering a Collective Marketing Strategy
Women Entrepreneurs – Increasing Engagement and Participation in the Business Community
This programme is organised by NEWKD and funded by the LEADER Rural Development Programme 2014-2020. You will have the opportunity to meet, share and learn from your peers (in Kerry and Poland) under the leadership of our content experts who will support you on a journey of growth for both you and your business.
We will launch the programme with a session of learning and networking to highlight how you can take a more active role in society within your area of interest. From this point, we will invite you to express interest in participating in the Transnational Programme which involves Project Group Meetings and Hosting your Polish Peer Group as well as traveling to Poland to see their businesses in action and to learn from their experiences. The Project Group Meetings will focus on generating and implementing a plan to meet the above stated objectives.
Additionally, a documentary will be created as an outcome of the overall project with filming to take place at most events, interviews and more. A report will also be created to highlight the project achievements against objectives in coordination with the documentary film.
All sessions will be full of interaction if virtual or face to face. These will be highly collaborative events with a lot of group exercises and discussion.
A key component to the programme is the creation of a small, trusted group of like-minded women within each cohort and across sectors for collaboration. You can learn from each other throughout the programme and after completion. This group of women will continue to sustain you as you grow your businesses across Kerry.
