Phil is a trainer, executive coach and business mentor with over 23 years training experience. He works with clients from a broad range of industries in the private and public sectors.
Phil started his own training business in August 2001 having been involved in the training and coaching of sales and customer care staff for the previous 11 years with the Bank of Ireland group where he held various managerial positions in ICS Building Society.
He is also the Co-Founder and Principal Partner of STEPSTONE Consulting, an Authorised Partner for some of the leading providers of research, training, assessment and organisational development tools available such as: Prosci®, Everything DiSC®, and The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team™
He has worked with business owners and senior executives for many years helping them develop their businesses, their staff, and themselves. He also enjoys working with start-ups and focusing their entrepreneurial drive.
Phil is a trainer with a very energetic, participative style, and an approach that has an unmistakable common-sense appeal. He specialises in Management and Leadership Skills, Change Management, Interpersonal Skills, Negotiation and Selling Skills, Personal Development and Customer Care.
He has a Bachelor of Business Studies (1st class Hons), a Graduate ship in Marketing from IMI, and a National Diploma in Personnel Management. He holds a Certificate in Training from the NUI Maynooth and Memberships of the IITD & CIPD. Phil has an MBA (2008) from the Open University, A Diploma in Executive Coaching (IMI) and a HETAC Certificate in Executive Coaching (IMI). He is an accredited user of EQi (Bar on Emotional Quotient inventory) and a Certified NLP Master Practitioner.
Phil has been lecturing part time since 2002 in Business Policy and previously in Strategic Management to final year students of the Bachelor of Business Studies degree programme with the Institute of Public Administration. He also serves as the examiner for this subject.
