Susan has spent the past 27 years working in the recruitment/sales industry. She worked her way up from trainee consultant after leaving college with a Marketing & Languages degree in 1998, to Ireland Country Manager of the largest recruitment company in the world. During her career, Susan was responsible for sales strategy and execution, sales training, and managing teams of salespeople across Ireland and Northern Ireland. In 2019, she took the leap to set up her own executive recruitment consultancy business.
Susan will provide sales training to Entrepreneurs who need some help to understand how to sell in the current marketplace. Getting started is often the hardest part! Having gone through her own entrepreneurial journey, Susan can equip trainees with strategies and tools to help them to succeed in a competitive market, and to measure the effectiveness of their sales activities. She has deep knowledge of selling to both corporate organisations and small to medium sized businesses. Susan hopes her experience and knowledge can benefit others.
(Also an IATA qualified travel agent – though this is just a hobby as she loves to travel!)
Susan has worked within the recruitment industry for 27 years, having built solid relationships with companies across Ireland and the UK. Susan has trained over 500 people in sales techniques such as cold calling, emarketing, overcoming objections, pricing, how to arrange and execute successful client meetings and handling negotiations. Susan has helped people to understand their KPIs (Key performance indicators) to improve their sales performance and achieve targets. She has a deep knowledge of CRM systems and has managed the implementation of Salesforce across Ireland, as a subject matter expert.
For the past 6 years, Susan has developed a loyal customer base with a small portfolio of SME and global clients seeking top talent and managing sales projects for them. Having set up the business months before Covid hit, she has managed to navigate all the challenges of running a very lean business from her home office in Kildare. The main element of the business has been recruiting managers and C-suite executives, though the sales coaching side of her business has seen rapid growth over the past year. Susan has presented to local secondary schools on a voluntary basis, to help Transition Year students learn more about their career choices and to give CV and interview training advice.
